HeyGuide — Privacy Policy

HeyGuide is a location-based audio tour-guide app. This policy explains what we collect, why, who we share it with, and the choices you have.
1. Information we collect

We do not knowingly collect contacts, health, financial-account, or web-browsing data.
2. How we use your information
- Provide the core service (tours, narration, maps, Photo Lens, voice answers).
- Maintain your Coin wallet and process in-app purchases.
- Show rewarded ads (only with your consent) and grant Coins for watching them.
- Prevent fraud and abuse of free-Coin grants.
- Improve and debug the app.
3. Advertising & tracking
We use Google AdMob for optional rewarded ads. On iOS we ask permission via Apple’s App Tracking Transparency, and we use Google’s User Messaging Platform for consent (including EU/UK GDPR consent). If you decline, you still see ads, but they are non-personalized. You can change this any time in your device settings.
4. Who we share data with
- Google — Firebase Authentication, AdMob, User Messaging Platform, Google Sign-In.
- Apple — Sign in with Apple, App Store purchases.
- RevenueCat — in-app purchase processing and validation.
- AI service provider(s) — to analyze Photo Lens images and answer voice/text questions and generate narration.
- Our backend servers — hosted at [hosting provider / region].
- Map & content sources — map tiles (OpenStreetMap) and reference content (e.g. Wikimedia). We do not send your personal data to these sources.
We do not sell your personal data.
5. International transfers
Your data may be processed outside your country. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards (e.g. Standard Contractual Clauses).
6. Data retention
We keep account data while your account is active. Location history is stored on your device and removed when you clear it or uninstall. When you delete your account (Section 8) we delete your account and associated server-side data within 30 days.
7. Security
Traffic uses TLS; the on-device database and auth session are excluded from device backups; the device identifier is stored in the platform keychain. No method is 100% secure.
8. Your rights & choices
- Delete your account & data: in the app, open Profile → Delete account, or use the account-deletion page, or email privacy@fortunsolabs.com.
- Access / correct / export / object: depending on your region (GDPR, UK GDPR, CCPA/CPRA), contact privacy@fortunsolabs.com.
- Location / microphone / photos: revoke any time in your device settings; the app degrades gracefully.
- Ads personalization: managed via the tracking/consent prompt and device settings.
9. Children
HeyGuide is not directed to children under 13 (or the equivalent age in your region) and shows ads. We do not knowingly collect data from children.
10. Changes
We will update the “Effective date” and, for material changes, notify you in-app.
